Jerudong International School (JIS) students celebrate exceptional achievements in Sixth Form exam results

Jerudong International School (JIS) is proud to celebrate the outstanding examination results achieved by its Class of 2026 across its three Sixth Form pathways, including A Levels, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media.

Offering three Sixth Form pathways enables students to choose a curriculum aligned with their individual strengths and interests, while maintaining high expectations for achievement across each. This year’s results demonstrate the success of this approach, with exceptional outcomes achieved across all three pathways.

A Level students celebrated an exceptional range of results, with 47% of all grades awarded being A* or A and 69% being A*, A or B grades. 26% of students achieved 3 A* or A grades or higher, an increase of 10% compared to last year.

Joshua Hung (a Ministry of Education scholarship student), Joel Jai and Mintong Li achieved an exceptional four A* grades across their A Level examinations. Sherlin Gnanarathinam achieved four A* or A grades alongside an additional AS Level in Further Mathematics. Sai Ananya, Md Ilyas bin Hj Ilham Rohaidi (a Ministry of Education scholarship student), Aaron Kho and Sara Ng also achieved an impressive four A* or A grades in their A Level examinations.

Ten students achieved a combination of A* or A grades in three of their A Level subjects, including Saifullah Abbasi, Farah Alyah binti Abdul Rahman (a Ministry of Education scholarship student), Abdul Mateen El-Waliy bin Fakhruddin, Ayden Zahari bin Abdul Hakeem, Nigel Lim, Shin Khant Lin, Ak Abdul Hadi Raiyan bin Pg Dato Paduka Osman, Syed Abd Rahman Syed Azmal, Grace Taylor and Nerissa Tan (a Ministry of Education scholarship student).

Additionally, 12 students attained A grades in three of their subjects: Mohammad Danial Aqil Mohammad Aliza, Aiden Ling, Dk Bazlaa Az-Zahra Pg Md Khairul Arifin (a Ministry of Education scholarship student), Muhd Danish Luqman Saidin Hidayat, Syasya Amalyna Hj Mohd Saiful Bahrin (a Ministry of Education scholarship student), Bertie Scott, Sing Ying Shim, Toby Stevens, Ethan Sumbang, Ampuan Muhd Shahibul Dzakwan Ampuan Hj Sukarni (a Ministry of Religious Affairs scholarship student), Lynn Tan and Muhammad Aydin bin Haji Mohammad Zulazrin.

IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) students also delivered an outstanding set of results, with the majority of students surpassing the global average and an impressive 11.1% achieving 40 points or more.

The highest score was an outstanding 43 points, achieved by Isla Hallam. Three students earned an exceptional 42 points: Aerial Chen, Dhanushan Chinniah and Jovan Tang. Alisha Dhaniyah Md Azmi Yusran achieved an impressive 38 points. Two students scored 35 points: Mohammad Wazif Bin Mohd Faizal Ezam and Ak Ameer Zaydaan Fayyadh Pg Md Hasreen.

The school’s third Sixth Form pathway, the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media, also delivered strong results. JIS celebrated the success of its third cohort with a 100% pass rate and no student receiving a grade below Merit. One student achieved Distinction Distinction Merit (DDM), equivalent to ABB at A Level and worth 128 UCAS Tariff points.

With these remarkable achievements, the Class of 2026 have received offers from top universities around the world, including Imperial College London, Stanford University, University of Cambridge, University College London, University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, McGill University, University of Toronto, King’s College London, University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, University of California Los Angeles, University of Manchester, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, University of Bristol, New York University and many more.
