Boarding Schools in Thailand

A boarding school provides accommodation, meals and academic support to students all year round. British boarding schools are especially popular and many of them have opened sister campuses in major Asian cities. There are also a number of international schools which provide boarding facilities to their students.

Here are five international boarding schools in Thailand:  

Bromsgrove International School Thailand

1. Bromsgrove International School Thailand

The school was initially established as Windsor International School in 2002. Two years later, it became affiliated with Bromsgrove School UK and is now known as Bromsgrove International School Thailand. Students are taught the British Curriculum leading up to the IGCSE and A Level examinations. Bromsgrove International School Thailand is open to students aged two to 18 years old. Flexi-boarding, weekly boarding and full boarding are offered at the school.

2. Harrow International School Bangkok

Established in 1998, Harrow International School Bangkok is the first Asian campus of Harrow School London. Harrow School also has campuses in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. A British-based education is taught to students from preschool to pre-university levels. Students sit for the IGCSE and A Level examinations. Full boarding, day boarding and temporary boarding is available to students aged nine to 18 years old. Harrow International School Bangkok has three boarding houses namely West Acre, Bradbys and The Grove.

 

Garden International School, Thailand

3. Garden International School, Thailand

Located at the Eastern Seaboard of Ban Chang, Garden International School Thailand was established in 1994 and provides the British Curriculum to students ages two to 18 years old. Students sit for the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme at secondary and pre-university levels respectively. Full boarding and weekly boarding is offered to students.

 

Ruamrudee International School

4. Ruamrudee International School

The school was founded by the Redemptorist Fathers in 1957. Ruamrudee International School accepts students from Pre-Kindergarten to High School levels. The Reggio Emilia approach is adopted at preschool whereas the American Curriculum is taught to primary and secondary school students. The IB Diploma Programme and Advanced Placement classes are offered to students to prepare them for college applications. The school has a small on-campus boarding facility called Seelos Residence.

 

St. Stephen’s International School

St. Stephen’s International School is known for being the first boarding school in Thailand. The school is open to students from Nursery to Year 11. Students are taught a British-based curriculum incorporated with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) leading up to the IGCSE examinations. Full boarding and day boarding is offered to students. Boarders have access to a wide range of extracurricular activities and facilities. The school’s proximity to Khao Yai National Park allows students to participate in activities such as rock climbing and trekking.
