Individuals in Myanmar aged 19 can enrol in post-secondary education institutions. Students in their final year of secondary school must sit for the Education Standard 10 Examination where they will be granted Diploma A or Diploma B. Only Diploma A holders are eligible to enter university. The University Entrance Examinations administered by the Myanmar Board of Examinations are held in mid-March annually. The IBDP requires students to complete six subjects, which are assessed through assignments, oral presentations and examinations. Each subject is graded from 1 to 7, with 7 being the highest.
